Glamour, Fashion, & Networking Debut In The Big Apple Countdown To Sol Afrik Fashion Week New York

Aug. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- The mixer event for SAFWNY, a global platform that illustrates couture and ready-to-wear pieces from international designers across the Diaspora, Latin America, and Asia, will convene 200 designers, stylists, photographers, models, style bloggers, journalists, and other industry professionals, to build momentum for the launch of SAFWNY in September.  

The exclusive event will be hosted by humanitarian organization, KONZENI Foundation, and will feature happy hour cocktails from 6pm until 8pm and music by DJ Zimo.  The event will also present the best works from three emerging designers, Crown Soul Creations, Toriola Designs, and Eunika Simmons.  Guests will be asked to select their favorite and most inspiring designer, whose work will be featured on the SAFWNY website.  
“We are almost one month away from the launch of Sol Afrik Fashion Week New York,” said SAFWNY founder Kantaki Washington.  “To get us in the mood for this global fashion fair, we’ve carefully cooked up an event that will cultivate awareness around SAFWNY and enable fashion industry professionals and enthusiasts to gain exposure and make new contacts.”
