This year's Madras Week Celebrations to feature a panel discussion on entrepreneurship, with chief focus on first generation entrepreneurs.

Aug. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- For the first time since its initiation, Madras Week celebrations will pay tribute to first generation entrepreneurs this year. A panel discussion that is set to be moderated by the city's well-known entrepreneur advisor Chandu Nair, the session on entrepreneurship will be held on 21 August, between 6pm-8pm at Amethyst on Whites Road, Chennai.

With more and more Chennaites opting out of well-paying jobs to start something of their own, this informative session couldn't have come at a better time. While Madras Week, an initiative promoted by Madras Musings, strives to pay tribute to the city by bringing to light its long forgotten history, this year's new addition will ensure that the city folks get a glimpse of the flourishing innovative drive of present day 'Madras'.

During the two hour session the panellists, which includes entrepreneurs Sridevi Raghavan and Suresh Sambandam and angel investor Krishna K.R, will share their experiences and also give budding entrepreneurs in the city a chance to understand some of the key aspects of starting a venture.

An event to be organised by Senior Business Journalist Sushila Ravindranath, City Historian and Writer Sriram V and Actor and Management Trainer Mohan Raman, the panel discussion that will celebrate the booming entrepreneurial spirit in the city, will also give entrepreneurs a platform to connect and expand their professional network.
