By: Barbury International Horse Trials HRSM, who has a significant representation within sport particularly horseracing and equestrianism launched the Union Jack's High campaign in June coinciding with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations promoting the Barbury International Horse Trials in Wiltshire. The campaign photo story depicted Natterjack, a former racehorse, entering into the patriotic spirit painted in the Union Jack with British event rider Laura Collett on board jumping the signature Stonehenge Fence on the Barbury Estate. It took a team of four people five hours to create the Union Jack effect using harmless liquid chalk. The photo campaign achieved wall to wall national media coverage, as well as being widely recognised for its originality. Visitors to the Barbury International Horse Trials increased by 50% compared with 2011. The campaign was also supported digitally on YouTube featuring a Guide to Painting your Patriotic Pony, receiving over 7,000 views in one month. Twitter followers increased from 0-1708 in just four months. How to paint your patriotic pony You Tube edit: http://www.youtube.com/ Harriet Rochester, Managing Director of HRSM commented "We are very proud that Union Jacks High has been shortlisted for these awards and its fantastic that our work is recognised alongside Global Names in sport and sponsorship. Following on from the success of Team GB equestrians at this summers Olympic Games it's important to keep the sport in the spotlight as well as recognise the organisations and bodies who effectively promote the sport and we hope that equestrian enthusiasts and beyond will show their support by voting for us. We would also like to thank Nigel Bunter and his team at Barbury for their on-going support". Voting is now open and closes on September 5th.
