Great San Diego Café Located In The North Park Area!

Finding a great San Diego cafe isn't difficult if you know where to look. I always start with the directories such as Yelp and Urbanspoon, but that may not always show those special cafe's like 30th Street Cafe. This is a hidden gem in San Diego.

Sept. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- When you’re looking for a great San Diego Café, you need to think outside the box and get away from the national chains.  The 30th Street Café located at 3620 30th St. is what might be considered a hidden gem. Of course the locals know about it, but only the adventurous outside of the area have discovered it.

The café was purchase in February, 2010 by Dave Steinnetz and has gone through a couple of different remodels to become what it is today. For a café to work it has to be owned by someone who wants to provide high quality food and a great atmosphere. It doesn’t have to be a big splashy restaurant, but it does have to be a warm friendly place to visit with great food. This café meets that criterion and then some.

One thing that is unique about this café is that it allows local artists to display their art work for sale. In the main dining area you will find several pictures offered by local artists hanging on the walls. There is a new artist each month so the pictures continue to rotate.

This San Diego Café offers breakfast and lunch and a wide variety of coffees. They offer locally roasted coffees as well as espresso. Some of their coffee choices are created by the staff with their own unique flavor

Everything is made fresh at the café. They do all their own baking and only use the freshest of ingredients. You’ll see comments on the directories like Yelp and Urbanspoon about the quality of food offered. People especially like their breakfast special of creamed chip beef.

The head chef is Maisha Chafkar and she says that she puts love into everything she prepares. It’s important to both her and Dave that their customers feel that they have had an extra special meal whether it’s a sandwich or something special that Maisha has cooked up on the weekend. She prepares a special every Saturday and Sunday and people call ahead to try to get an idea what she may be preparing. Both Dave and Maisha show a great deal of personal pride in what they provide and their customers benefit from it.

I found this very special San Diego Café by searching on Yelp and Urbanspoon for something a little out of the ordinary. What I found was a café that has a 4.5 star rating on both directories and a 28 out of 30 score from Google. When you find ratings like that you know there’s a good chance you’ve found a San Diego Café worth visiting.

Remember, to find the very best San Diego Café, you need to think outside the box. Otherwise you might miss a great opportunity.
