Ft. Benning’s Movie Under the Stars Sposored by Ashworth College

Sept. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- PEACHTREE CORNERS, Georgia  – Ashworth College (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu), announced that it is sponsoring the Fort Benning Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) Movie Under the Stars tonight at Wetherby Field. This is one of several military family-friendly events sponsored by the online school.

Tonight’s featured movie is “Mirror. Mirror” and Ft. Benning families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

"Ashworth enjoys the chance to meet members of the Ft. Benning Community and to interact with the servicemembers and military spouses who are enrolled in one of our online programs,” said Rodney Butler, U.S. Army First Sergeant, Retired and Ashworth College Military Education Coordinator on behalf of the accredited online school.  “We also like meeting our graduates and hear how their education has impacted their lives.”

“We’re committed to all aspects of Ft. Benning, including events like Movie Under the Stars” that gives back to the families who dedicate their lives to the military,” he added.

Butler went on to explain the commitment the online school has to servicemembers, military spouses and veterans wanting to further their education. “Ashworth brings its knowledge of military education benefits and will work with prospective students one-on-one to from enrollment through graduation, said Butler. “For example, many spouses are unaware that military education benefits programs like MyCAA exist. With up to $4,000 in education benefits available, Ashworth’s low credit hour cost of $64 makes it possible for military spouses to earn a college certificate or degree using only MyCAA benefits, with zero out of pocket costs to them.”

In addition to sponsoring programs and events with Ft. Benning FMWR, Ashworth is recognized as a Yellow Ribbon School and as a military friendly school by both G.I. Jobs and Military Advanced Education magazines. The online school also sponsors the 2012-2013 Army Wife Network Field Exercise.
