Michael Bsaibes Announces New Dental Clinic

Sept. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- As the Chief Operations Officer at SBCHC, Michael Ghassan Bsaibes has played an instrumental role in bringing about the brand new Dental Clinic.  The clinic is located in the Spring Branch Family Development Center at the SBCHC Pitner location.  

“I consider the Dental Clinic to be one of the biggest things Spring Branch has done to date,” comments Michael Ghassan Bsaibes. “For a nonprofit health care facility to offer dental services… well, that’s not something you’re going to find just anywhere.”

Dental services present a unique challenge for many nonprofit healthcare services.  In addition to hiring new staff members with valuable skills, an entirely new set of equipment must be purchased, as well.  

“Of course, it isn’t just personnel and equipment,” says Bsaibes.  “Permits, legal documents, and so many other things have to be arranged before a ‘health’ clinic can start offering dental services.”

However, for the Spring Branch Community Health Center’s Board of Directors, offering dental services made sense.  “I think the overwhelming opinion,” says Bsaibes, “is that comprehensive healthcare has to offer dental and oral services in order to be comprehensive.  Otherwise, how can we say we’re truly doing everything to serve Houston?”

As the dental clinic at Pitner is still working out the kinks, Michael Ghassan Bsaibes is excited by the new challenges this facility presents.  “All in all, I think things are going quite well,” he comments.  “Sure, there are challenges, but that’s what makes a project interesting, isn’t it?”
