Hook, line and sinker with Young Epilepsy students

Oct. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The students, who were accompanied by an experienced wrangler, were taught to bait, cast off and reel in the catch of the day. Some surprised students also caught clams as well as trout in the Hurst Green lakes.

The MTSFC strives to bring an interactive fishing experience to people with special needs by organising fishing events up and down the country.

Young Epilepsy’s St Piers Teacher, Olya Scott, said; “We had a fantastic time at the Coltsworld Mill Fishery. Thank you to everyone who made the day possible, especially the MTSFC.

“Activities like this are great experiences for our students. Learning outside the classroom and engaging with new sports are great ways of building confidence and independence.”

Epilepsy effects over 112,000 children and young people aged 25 and under, and is the most common neurological condition in the UK.
