IAOP Inducts President and CEO of Stefanini IT Solutions into Outsourcing Hall of Fame

Oct. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- São Paulo, Brazil, Oct. 2, 2012 – Marco Stefanini, COP, President and Global CEO of Stefanini IT Solutions, was inducted today into the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP’s) prestigious Outsourcing Hall of Fame; the industry’s highest professional recognition for contributions to business and society.

He was honored today at a luncheon ceremony during The 2012 Latin America Outsourcing Summit.

In a 25-year career, Stefanini has gained international recognition as a promoter of the IT services industry in Latin America. He has been named twice as one of the most influential professionals in nearshore outsourcing by Nearshore Americas. He founded the Brazilian Association of Software and Services for Export (BRASSCOM) and is the director of Seprosp (Union – service companies SP) and Softex.

“This is a big honor for me and all the employees of Stefanini. It represents recognition of our 25 years working to develop the IT market, first in Brazil and now in over 30 countries,” said Stefanini. “But above all, this is a result of our great relationship with our customers that trusted in us to support their IT projects.”  

Founded in 1987, Stefanini IT Solutions began as a training company where they gave classes for IBM and other large corporations. Today, there are more than 16,000 employees in 71 offices across 30 countries covering the Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. The innovative, fast growing company has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the top 10 innovative companies in Brazil.

A São Paulo native, he is also an active member at the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum, representing Brazil’s IT industry and serves as member of the sub-committees responsible for education and innovation initiatives to further the exchange of best practices between Brazil and the U.S.
