T33NPHILLY MAGAZINE launches its Ten Week Modeling School for Girls in the Greater Philadelphia area

 
Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- T33NPHILLY MAGAZINE is now accepting applications for female models between the ages of five through eighteen for its ten-week modeling school that will culminate with a fashion show and competition. The school will run for ten weeks beginning November 10th, 2012 and will include sessions such as runway and pageant training, personal image (styling), etiquette, and character building.

Open House will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2012, from 12:30pm - 2:30pm at Hunting Park Recreation Center located at 900 W. Hunting Park Ave at Broad St. in Philadelphia. The cost of registration is $15.00 per model and participants who register before October 22, 2012, are granted one free model class. One full program tuition waiver will be raffled off to attendees of the open house. Registration is available on-site and via www.t33nphilly.com. Register quickly as spots are limited.

Jovonna Townsend, Editor-In-Chief and visionary of T33NPHILLY MAGAZINE and its Modeling School was inspired to give back to her community after the loss of her eldest brother due to gun violence in 2005. While a student at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, she became inspired to work with youth in her community and have a meaningful social impact. She established JO’NI Mentor and Model program in 2007, a Stop The Violence and Increase the Peace afterschool program in memory of her deceased brother and held numerous fashion shows in Philadelphia that sold over 500 tickets. Having won first place in Hype Hair and Black Men’s Magazine 2007 “Natural beauty Contest” that landed her a full spread feature in Hype Hair Magazine, Jovonna has graced numerous runways in the tri-state area including Celebrity stylist Carl J, Linen and Lace, and Celebrity Charity Runway Fashion Shows. Nationally placing as a top ten finalist in Ford Motors and Steve Harvey’s nationwide “Taurus Top Ten Competition.”

“My passion lies in uplifting and building internal and external confidence within young ladies in and around the community. I love helping girls believe they are indeed “Simply the Best”; I am super excited about being able to inspire young females through giving them an outlet to express themselves creatively” exclaimed Jovonna.
