New Online AutoCAD Training Program Offers Ashworth College Students a Blueprint for Success

To meet the growing demands of aspiring drafters and designers, Ashworth’s (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu) AutoCAD training course will introduce students to the software’s fundamental theory and basic practices, allowing them to create detailed drawings for buildings, products, and public spaces in both 2D and 3D formats without having to draw plans by hand.

“AutoCAD software is highly versitile,” said Dr. Leslie Gargiulo, Chief Educaiton Officer for Ashworth College. “Typically we associate AutoCAD as being used by architects and engineers for drafting purposes. However, the software is also popular in other industries where there is a need for creativity and design. For example, landscape and interior designers might use it for space planning or a graphic designer to create product packaging. It’s even used in fashion design.”

Committed to helping workers receive the real world training for in-demand jobs developed the AutoCAD course to provide in-depth instruction for a successful career in drafting or design. The U.S. Department of Labor projects that depending on the industry job opportunities could increase as much as 19-24% by 2020, making this a highly desirable credential to have.

The Ashworth College AutoCAD training course consists of 13 online lessons that have been developed to be challenging and practical, and can be completed  in as little as six month.  Lessons begin with a subject matter preview, objectives, and a vocabulary builder of new words and terms. Lessons include
