Monroe and Suwanee remodels come as part of a larger campaign of store renovations throughout the greater Atlanta area and the country. Prior to the remodel of each location, guests will have the opportunity to purchase the cool sports and entertainment memorabilia currently decorating the Applebee’s walls. One hundred percent of the funds raised from the memorabilia sale will benefit a local non-profit. In Monroe, the funds will go to Gentle Hope, a local non-profit organization founded and spearheaded by Jenny Gentle-Benson that assists families facing medical hardships. Suwanee’ Décor will be available for purchase Oct. 21 through 28 in Monroe and Nov. 22 through 26 in Suwanee. In both locations, memorabilia will not be specifically priced; all that’s needed is a good offer and the items will change hands. Perhaps most exciting will be the new décor features that celebrate the local communities. “We are really looking forward to unveiling the murals featuring George Walton Academy, Monroe Area, Social Circle, Loganville and Walnut Grove high schools on our walls,” says Dan Shulimson, general manager for Applebee’s Monroe. And in Suwanee, guests can expect to see images from North Gwinnett, Collins Hill and Peachtree Ridge high schools lining the walls. “The new murals help us create a stronger connection between Applebee’s and the city that’s been so great to us during the past 14 years.” says Geoff Ullman, general manager for Applebee’s Suwanee. These new and improved Applebee’s locations will also feature several enhancements to make customers’ experiences more enjoyable like new, larger High Definition flat-screen TVs. Locals will love flocking to Applebee’s for the NFL Sunday Ticket on DIRECTV®, making every pro game accessible throughout the season. Additionally, the restaurant will feature a completely revamped inside and outside. With special menu deals like the $6.99 Pick ‘n Pair lunch combinations (up to 75 to choose from!) and 2 for $20 (one shareable appetizer and two entrees for $20), the enhanced Applebee’s locations will keep the eatery a favorite with locals. For the remodel, each location will close in the evening and reopen just two days later with its transformation complete. In Monroe, the opening date is Nov. 6, 2012 and in Suwanee, guests will be welcome on Dec. 4, 2012. For more information about Applebee’s in greater Atlanta, visit www.ApplebeesAtlanta.com.
