Elite Model Look Singapore Announces Finalists

Oct. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- For the 29th consecutive year, Elite is organizing the most prestigious modeling contest in the world offering thousands of girls between 14 and 22 years old the opportunity to achieve their dream and follow in the footsteps of top models such as Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen, Constance Jablonski and Sun Fei Fei.

This year in addition to the female competition, EML Singapore also launched the male contest.

On October 27th, the National Casting (semi-final) took place at the magnificent Fullerton Bay Hotel, bringing together the 48 girls and 22 boys selected during the live castings conducted in roadshows all around Singapore.

At the National Casting, the Elite Model Look jury revealed the contestants who will participate in the Grand Final. From the original list of 12 girls chosen, one contestant, Katie Dai, had to be replaced due to scheduling conflicts and one more male contestant has since been added to the 6 boys originally selected. Here is the final list of 12 girls and 7 boys (with ages / heights / nationalities) who will take the ultimate step of the Elite Model Look Singapore contest and participate in the Grand Final on Nov 9th at the Hard Rock Coliseum, in world-renowned Resorts World Sentosa.

During the 12 days preceding the Final, a specially planned Elite Model Look journey has been prepared for the 19 finalists to introduce them to the modeling universe. Supervised by the Elite Model Look team and leading fashion industry professionals which include Make Up Store, Gnossem, Pro-Academy, Toni & Guy Hairdressing and Franciz Cheong, finalists will be chauffeured in top style by title sponsor Volkswagen to photoshoots, videoshoots, fittings, hair/makeup workshops, catwalk trainings and show rehearsals.

This unique and intensive experience also includes stays in five-star luxury hotels at the Fullerton, the W Singapore - Sentosa Cove and Hard Rock hotel, where the girls will get to have a taste of the supermodel lifestyle. On November 3rd, the girls will enjoy their own party (‘Reverie’) at Post Bar in the elegant Fullerton Hotel while on the 7th, they will be presenting their first swimwear showcase at the swanky W Singapore - Sentosa Cove.

Finally on November 9th, after all the intensive preparation, the 19 finalists will be ready to walk the runaway for 2000 guests at the Hard Rock Coliseum, the international concert and show venue, where a catwalk matching the runways of Paris and Milan will be built specially for the Elite Model Look Singapore Grand Final.

At the Grand Final, the male winners will have a chance to be selected by Elite Milan or Elite UK, as well as locally by Upfront Models. The female winner will join the winners of 70 other countries to participate in the prestigious World Final in Shanghai on Dec 1st, with the hopes of following in the footsteps of Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Karen Mulder, Stephanie Seymour and Gisele Bundchen, who have all started their modeling careers thanks to the Elite Model Look contest.
