The African Collective joins Baltimore Fashion Week

Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Baltimore Fashion Week has partnered with JMK Publicists to introduce the audience members of Baltimore Fashion Week an international fashion flair with the inclusion of The African Collective on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the DoubleTree/Hilton in August 2013.

JMK Publicists is a public relations firm that specializes in international marketing for clients within the fashion and entertainment industry.  JMK Publicists has a huge international outreach of international publications that will be present to cover the African designers.  Having this type of communication level has awarded JMK Publicists a diverse connection to many international cities within the African region.  

“JMK has followed Baltimore Fashion Week and its progress since 2008.  I personally felt that 2013 was the year to bring an international looks to the runways of Baltimore, by way of Baltimore Fashion Week.  We are excited to be a part of this production,” stated Morris-Kennedy, President.

Designers from Africa will present vibrant colored collections on Saturday, August 10, 2013 during Baltimore Fashion Week.  JMK is working on the designer presentation schedule to include up to 12 designers for that one night.  

“To be presented with an opportunity like this from JMK is a lifetime achievement in my eyes.  JMK has the resources and outreach required in coordinating an international designer presentation.  We are glad that out of all the fashion weeks in the world they chose us to partner with on this international fashion presence,” stated Nixon.

Baltimore Fashion Week 2013 will kick off its event schedule at the DoubleTree/Hilton with a celebration soiree on August 7, 2013 in the Triple Crown Ballroom.  Immediately following for the next four (4) days will be runway events from August 8-11, 2013 in the Preakness Ballroom.  All events will start at 8:00 p.m. each night.
