HeartSine Technologies Appoints Declan O'Mahoney New Chief Executive Officer

Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- HeartSine® Technologies, Inc., a world leader in personal and public access defibrillators (http://www.heartsine.com/index.php?page_id=559&menu=international), announced yesterday that Declan O'Mahoney has been named the company’s chief executive officer, effective immediately. O'Mahoney has been a non-executive director of HeartSine since 2011.

O'Mahoney is an entrepreneur based in Ireland with extensive international experience in the high technology sector and holds a number of non-executive positions with other fast-growing technology companies in Ireland.

Most recently, he was the chief executive officer of Firecomms, a global leader in the provision of fiber optic solutions and optical transceivers, leading it to become Ireland’s first high-tech company to be acquired by a Chinese corporation. As CEO at Firecomms (from 2002–2010), O'Mahoney attracted major investments from Irish, European and Japanese venture capitalists and strategic partners. He also led the expansion of the company's business to a global marketplace, particularly in the automotive, communications and medical device markets.

From 1992–2002, O'Mahoney was co-founder and president of Northstar Systems, Inc., which provides custom design and manufacturing services for computing, consumer electronics, etc., with facilities in Silicon Valley, China, Europe and Taiwan.
