Jermaine Hopkins announces casting for his film “Tears”

Nov. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC-November 18, 2012 -Who says you can’t reinvent yourself and your career? Jermaine Hopkins, an actor best known for his performance in “Lean on Me” and “Juice”, is proud to announce casting for his new feature film, “Tears”.  Hopkins is ready for the fresh start in producing under his company JHOP Entertainment.  In late 2011, actor Jermaine Hopkins was arrested in Phoenix for possessing and trying to sell 200 pounds of marijuana to an undercover officer. His motives were to “provide a nice Christmas for his family”. Since the arrest, Jermaine is starting with this first major project from his production company with a film called “Tears”. Hopkins states, “I am excited for this project and for this exciting and new chapter in my career.” “Tears”, is a story about two childhood friends, Tyrone Banks (T-Banks) and Mike Lane (Monster Mike) who grow up in the menacing inner city streets of a metropolitan city selling narcotics. “Tears” follows the pair as their business grows to be a nationwide enterprise and tells the tales of their dealings with Colombian kingpins and the Russian mafia. Difficult choices are to be made with death at stake. Who will come out on top in the end?

Hopkins teamed with Dedra Tate, of Unlimited Contacts, Inc. as Producer and Casting Director, Winsome Sinclair to hold the open casting call for “Tears” at Club Flashbacks, 4004 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27604, Sunday, November 18, 2012, from 12pm to 6pm.

Winsome Sinclair is one of the most sought after Casting Directors on the East Coast and has collaborated with some of the most influential filmmakers in the world.   She has worked on a myriad of noteworthy films with directors such as Steven Spielberg, Spike Lee, Oliver Stone, John Singleton, Forrest Whitaker, Ernest Dickerson, Christopher Reeves, and Hype Williams.  Along with these prominent directors, Winsome has become a part of cinematic history, for titles such as “Amistad”, “Malcolm X”, “Waiting to Exhale”, “Inside  Man”, “Miracle at St. Anna”, & the Academy Award winning film, “Precious”
