The 1875 Campo Gunfight is often referred to as “the forgotten gunfight”, but historically speaking it’s even more relevant than the shootout at the OK Corral. In December of 1875 a gang of bandits planned a daring daylight robbery of the entire town of Campo. The defense of the town was in the hands of two men, town founders Lumen and Silas Gaskill. Tipped off about the raid, the Gaskill brothers loaded up six shotguns and placed one gun in each of the six town stores. When the bandits rode into town, they were in for the fight of their lives— so were the Gaskill brothers. The rest, as they say, is history.

Anyone who appreciates the history of the American Old West, or just likes to witness the roar of black powder shotguns and six shooters won’t want to miss out on this exciting event. For more information go to GoldenAcornCasino.com or call (619) 938-6000
