San Diego gets SECOND and THIRD all-elecric Nissan LEAFs in Southern California!

Jan. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Two more San Diegans will be soon be immune from the County's high gas prices as they breeze past gas stations in their new all-electric Nissan LEAFs. These LEAFs, which arrived today at Mossy Nissan El Cajon, are the SECOND and THIRD production models to be delivered in Southern California. El Cajon resident Jose Cesena, who pre-ordered one of these  new LEAFs  last summer, can't wait to take delivery.  Besides being one of the few LEAF owners in the world, he is also one of the select few people to have an e-tech charger installed in his home to recharge his LEAF. San Diego resident Glen Murdoch, who also pre-ordered last summer, will be in El Cajon picking his LEAF today as well.

The revolutionary blue car is the first mass marketed 100-percent electric car.Nissan says the all-electric LEAF, which is a five-door hatchback, can go about 100 miles on a charge, depending on driving conditions. The EPA rates its range at 73 miles, and rates its mileage at 99 miles per gallon. Backers of electric vehicles like the Nissan LEAF claim they help reduce pollution, even when charged with electricity produced in fossil fuel plants
