By: QuisLex With the downturn of the global economy and rising legal costs, many corporate legal departments have begun to proactively search for better ways to handle discovery. This panel will focus on efficient and cost-effective approaches that corporations can take to accomplish this objective. In-house and outside counsel will leave this session with a better understanding of different strategies they can adopt, how best to approach these decisions, and how to effectively implement and oversee these processes. Included in the panel will be a discussion of the role played by legal process outsourcers. “One solution many have turned to is engaging the services of LPO providers, whose process rigor and expertise make them an effective partner for corporations looking to better handle the eDiscovery process,” explained Algieri. “The panel will address ways that in-house counsel can leverage their relationships with LPO providers to reduce costs and increase efficiency.” Joining Algieri on the panel will be Jessica Perazzelli Ross, an eDiscovery Services Attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP and Carrie Davis, Legal Discovery Specialist at Pfizer. The Controlling Legal Costs Conference offers corporate counsel practical ideas for reducing legal expenditures, both internally and from outside firms and service providers. The conference will be held November 28-29, 2012 in New York City.
