Southwest KIA Dealers of North Texas Help Toys for Tots

Nov. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- The Rockwall community shares the spirit of giving this holiday season as Fox 4 News host spirit-filled Toys for Tots event at The Harbor on December 14th. We are proud to announce our participation this year as a sponsor of the event!

Southwest Kia has announced plans to create a 'Soul Train' with the goal of filling the cars with toys donated by its patrons and customers.

Southwest KIA’s Bill Dickason is known for saying, “If I can’t beat a new KIA deal in Texas, I’m just gonna give it to ya!” However, the whole Southwest KIA organization is excited to be headlining the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program in Rockwall Texas with Santa’s Sleigh being filled at the Harbor of Rockwall December 14th 2012 from 5-9pm.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

The Toys for Tots Program continues for three months from October through December where anyone can drop off unwrapped toys at Southwest KIA Rockwall located on 1790 E. Interstate 30. In addition to collecting, and helping the United States Marine Corps Reserve deliver the toys to the children in need, the employees of Southwest Kia will be volunteering at the event. The exciting send off day will be at the Harbor in Rockwall located just across Lake Ray Hubbard December 14th from 5-9pm.
