Rocky Ramon Boxing Coach at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy

Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- On December 3, 2012 Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy has a new addition to its coaching staff by the name of Rocky Ramon. Rocky Ramon, San Antonio Resident and Retired Professional Boxer will be assisting Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy with the development of it's boxing program so that Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy can continue to develop its overall mixed martial arts program.

According to Mr. Rodriguez, Head Instructor at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy, "I've known Rocky for about 20 years and when I talked to him about what we are doing at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy, he became excited and asked what he could do to help. I am honored that Rocky is now a part of our team."

Rocky Ramon has a professional boxing record of 55 wins, 30 TKO's and only 5 losses in his professional boxing career.  Rocky Ramon is one of the few men in the world to go the distance with Sugar Ray Leonard, when Leonard was considered to be at the peak of his boxing prime.  Ranked #10 by the North American Boxing Federation, Rocky was Sugar Ray's first fight against a ranked opponent. Although Rocky lost the fight against Leonard, the boxing match made a lasting impression on both fighters that is still talked by boxing historians to this day.

Rocky's boxing career and fight against Sugar Ray Leonard was recently featured on Univision's Spanish Network and covered by reporter Rafarel Cardenera who received an Emmy for his coverage.

Rocky Ramon currently lives in San Antonio, Texas and will be teaching at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's.
