Follow on Google News | World’s Greatest Beatles Artist – Shannon to unveil artwork in NYC this SaturdayOn December 8, 2012 in memory of John Lennon, Shannon will unveil four separate paintings of the Beatles at a nightclub in New York City.
By: MoonGlow PR Assisting in the unveiling will be Shannon’s friends: May Pang (John Lennon’s girlfriend), Gary Von Scyoc (Lennon's Bassist in Elephants Memory), Dennis Ferrante (Grammy Winning Recording Engineer for Lennon) and Gene Cornish of The Rascals. Cornish will be standing in for Sid Bernstein (The man who brought The Beatles to the USA), who is not able to make it for illness reasons. This will be the first time in North America that Shannon has unveiled paintings created with PPG’s Envirobase®, the most environmentally friendly paint on the market. In 2011, she unveiled four ‘green’ paintings at The Cavern Club in Liverpool. “I am a big John (Lennon) and Beatles fan. I believe if John were still here today he would do all he could to bring awareness to the dangers to the environment. He would fight the good fight!” says Shannon. “PPG is helping big automobile industries, spraying solvent-based paint, convert to waterborne technology. Sure this is just the tip of the iceberg, but we all have to start somewhere. I started with The Beatles.” The grand unveiling will take place Saturday, December 8th - the 32st anniversary of the day Lennon was shot and killed outside his New York City apartment house. The gathering will begin at 8 pm and the ceremony will at 9 p.m. at The Cutting Room (http://thecuttingroomnyc.com/ For more information on Shannon and her artwork, go to: www.TheShannonGallery.com.
