HRCarbon Introduces its STARS Program

Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- HRCarbon strives to establish and strengthen the professionalization and standardization of the ‘Carbon Professional’ worldwide. They begin with education and training in the area of Carbon Management and Corporate Sustainability and add further support by offering recruitment services to these qualified candidates for the right job in sustainability.

In 2012, HRCarbon became part of the government-funded  Bridging Program 'Pathways to Employment  in the Sustainability and Energy Sector', developed  for internationally trained professionals with education and experience in engineering, environmental science, architecture and related professions. HRCarbon put its STARS program into action, by delivering its unique Carbon Professional Path program to train and prepare for the CSA Certified GHG Inventory Quantifier exam, and also by providing attendees with recruitment services. HRCarbon will assist all professionals from various vocations to find work placement and internships that match their education and skills to the companies seeking to build more sustainable businesses.

HRCarbon   will provide candidates with the following recruitment-related services:

Currently there are 60+ graduates of the HRCarbon STARS program with more groups of professionals about to complete the program in the near future. With the assistance of HRCarbon, graduates are placed in suitable positions, currently at no cost to the hiring organization. Their skills include:

·         Project Management (PMI/PMP/CAPM)

·         LEED GA

·         CSA GHG Inventory Quantification

·         OBC (Ontario Building Codes)

HRCarbon will participate in this Bridging Program for the next couple of years, until 2016.
