Tranquil Moments -- Colaiannia Host of New Radio Show with Jazz to New Age/Ambient Music

Dec. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Louis Colaiannia, widely acclaimed and highly honored song writer, arranger and performer is now hosting “Tranquil Moments” a live radio show from Idaho Springs, Colorado.

Colaiannia hosts the radio show on KYGT (102.7 FM ) on Sundays, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., MST.

Located 40 miles west of Denver, KYGT is an all-volunteer, locally-owned, listener-supported radio station.  Known as “The voice of Clear Creek Valley of the Colorado Rocky Mountains,” the station is heard by drivers on I-70 and community listeners in businesses and homes located in Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Silver Plume and Empire.

Louis Colaiannia (coal-ee-AH-nah) is a native of Denver, Colorado. He has pursued music his entire life, with the simple goal of sharing his gift with the World.

Colaiannia is a nationally touring musician performing solo concerts as well as concerts with artists such as Liz Story in places like Tucson, Phoenix, Sedona and Salt Lake City.

He performs at Festival Italiano every year (last three years)on the main stage. Over 100,000 people attend the event.

He has performed at Keystone Jazz Festival, Woodland Park Jazz Festival and Copper Mountain Jazz Festival.

Louis credits his success to sage advice given by his parents, Louis & Rose Colaiannia. “Mom always told me that if and when I ever set my sights on something, I should never quit…and Dad told me that I need to realize that everyone gets knocked down in life, but the successful get back up.”

Louis holds a Mozart Award for his contributions to music, and his latest releases show his versatility, breaking into the Contemporary Jazz, New Age and "Chill" realms.

He is a Primo Award winner two years in a row (2011 and 2012) for Italian American Entertainer of the Year and was recently inducted into the Colorado Italian American Hall of Fame 2012.

Colaiannia’s music is played on radio stations all over the world including the Smooth Jazz Channel.

His album "A Moment Between Eternities" is #5 in the World on the Zone Music Reporter chart and “Keys of Christmas” is #8 in the same chart.  In addition, a radio station in The Netherlands chose “A Moment Between Eternites” as album of the week.

Colaianni is planning to release his eighth album in 2013.

His masterful interpretations of the electronic keyboard and traditional piano combine with his skillful arrangements to create music that moves the soul. Colaiannia sees his piano as an inspirational tool.  “Passion never gets in the way of life, but life sometimes get in the way of passion.”
