WASHINGTON, DC January 5, 2013 – On Saturday, January 12, 2013, Bass Public Affairs launches their BPA Service Saturdays by volunteering with Food and Friends one of the region’s most respected community service organizations.   To participate and help the BPA team deliver meals to people in the Washington, DC region who are facing life-challenging illnesses contact, Dee-Dee Bass Wilbon at 302-357-8206.

About Food & Friends – In 1988, a group of 20 volunteers got together to assist in meeting the needs of those living in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses.  After preparing meals and delivering them for 60 clients out of the basement of the Westminister Presbyterian Church, Food and Friends now have their own state-of-the art kitchen to continue to do the awesome work they started more than 22 years ago.
