Spokane Franchise Owners Named Finalists for 2013 Business Excellence Awards

Kenny and Paula Smith, franchise owners of The Grounds Guys (Spokane) are Finalists in the Young Entrepreneur(s) category for the 2013 Business Excellence Awards.

The Business Excellence Awards honor the “best of the best” in small and medium sized businesses from around the world.

It’s no surprise that Kenny and Paula have garnered recognition at an international level.


After all, Paula is the Ground’s Guys most recent ‘Woman of the Year’ and the Spokane enterprise was named ‘Franchise of the Year’ (in addition to three other honors the pair received at a recent industry conference).

“The Business Excellence nomination has been a humbling and gratifying experience. We have given an incredible amount of time and effort into building a company that provides an experience for the residents and businesses in our region.

We are thankful to live in a place where we can build our dreams while giving the opportunity to our team and serving the community,” said Kenny.

Kenny and Paula will be attending the Business Excellence Awards ceremony at the Red Rock Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 25, 2013, where the winners will be named.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the two-day Business Excellence Forum will feature some of the finest speakers in the world of business, including the editor and publisher of Success Magazine, Darren Hardy and ActionCOACH Founder and Chairman Brad Sugars. Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a number of hosted breakout sessions and networking events.
