Ming-Qing Street Reflects The Life Of The Ancient Times In China

This street, named for the Ming and Qing Dynasties, has been the main commercial avenue in Pingao ancient town for centuries.

Also, the street boasts many courtyard houses - one-story compounds with rooms built around a series of courtyards - and a number of the main tourist sites. These shops and residential houses are still well preserved, making this street an excellent location to see historic buildings of the Qing and Ming period.

Walking along the Ming-Qing Street, tourists would feel back to the ancient times. And, the cross-street City Tower is the highest building of the city (18.5 meters high). Standing on its top, visitors can get a panoramic view of the bustling Ming–Qing Street.
