7,200+ people to Kickoff National School Choice Week at World’s Largest Education Celebration

Jan. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- More than 7,000 Arizonan parents, students and community members will help National School Choice Week shine a spotlight at the Phoenix Convention Center this Friday, Jan. 25, on the benefits of all families having a true menu of educational options, organizers announced today. The event will feature powerful testimonials from students who have benefited from attending the school of their parents' choice. The

internationally renowned Jonas Brothers will perform a set at the conclusion of the event (media will not be able to film any portion of the Jonas Brothers concert).  

National School Choice Week President Andrew Campanella will address the celebration via video feed live from Los Angeles, where he will launch the National School Choice Week ‘Special’ – a 14-city whistle-stop train tour in support of educational choice. In addition, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton will speak at the event, and former Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Lisa Graham Keegan will serve as the evening’s master of ceremonies.

Now in its third year, National School Choice Week shines a spotlight on the need for effective education options for children, including high-performing public schools, public charter schools, private schools, magnet schools, online learning and homeschooling (Jan. 27 to Feb. 2, 2013).

·         JoAnna Curtis, an award-winning teacher and a founder of EduPrize
         Schools;

·         Scott MacIntyre, a resident of Phoenix and American Idol finalist, who will
         sing the National Anthem
