Shobha De says Women in India is not safe anywhere!

Jan. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Shobha De a popular Indian columnist and novelist was addressing the huge audience and fans in Jaipur Literature Festival on Monday, 28th January, 2013 while she was in conversation with Ashok Ferrey.

Shobha De said in Jaipur Literature Festival on Delhi Gang Rape that there is not a single city or single Taluka or single district of India can claim safe for women. Shobha De was also added, "That one single case galvanized public opinion, galvanized women of this country and given them a voice, given them a strength that today they can fight back."

Shobha De also said on Delhi Gang Rape protests, "the protests were spontaneous protests. There were no political groups that were collecting people and said go for protest on India Gate. They were people of India."

Shobha De in her conversation, added that Delhi Gang Rape wake up the country, wake up the women of the country.

Shobha De was also thrown light on her new book "Sethji" published in 2012 under the publication of Penguin-Books India. She told the audience that “Sethji”
provides penetrating insights into the complex innards of contemporary politics in India.
