Sand Bash on Fort Myers Beach to host the first All Women’s Master Sand Sculpting ChampionshipSouthwest Florida residents and visitors alike will have a rare first-time, opportunity to see some of the world's top Women sand sculptors compete for the Blanche E. Swope Gold Cup while benefiting Susan G. Komen of Southwest Florida.
The event will be 10 days long from April 5th to April 14th on beautiful Fort Myers Beach behind the Holiday Inn. This is a remarkable first-time opportunity to see some of the world’s top women sand sculptors compete for the Blanche E. Swope Gold Cup. The women sculptors will be competing in both solo and double divisions. The sculptors represent countries such as United States, Canada, Italy, Netherlands and Australia. An Amateur contest is scheduled for Saturday April 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Amateur contest is intended as a venue for beginning or advanced amateurs and is open to all levels except masters and professionals. Some of the event highlights are: Chainsaw Art by Luree Magee, Ice Sculpting by Melineige Beauregard, Quick Sand© Competitions, Kids activity area, Vendors, Sand Sculpting Demonstrations/ Sand Bash is currently seeking sponsorship and in-kind support for the event. Interested organizations and businesses may contact Bill Knight of The Sand Lovers, LLC. Proceeds from the event go to the Susan G. Komen of Southwest Florida and other local charities. The event will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets for the event are $5.00 per person, $18.00 for a family of 4 and kids under 5 are free.
