3DLT.com Wins Xavier X-Lab Competition

Feb. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- 3DLT.com, a 3D printing template marketplace, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of six winners in the Xavier X-Lab competition. X-Lab’s primary benefit is business expertise. It works with Xavier’s Williams College of Business’s 65 faculty members, 500 affiliated executives, and nearly 900 MBA students to work with the winners to help them launch, sustain, and grow their businesses.

As a winner, 3DLT will receive:
Consulting and implementation services from Xavier MBA’s through early May 2013
Access to workshops lead by Xavier faculty and Cintrifuse representatives
An executive mentor and access Xavier’s extensive executive network

Much of 3DLT’s success with X-Lab can be attributed to one of it’s youngest founders, Brandon Lipman. The 19 year-old, who’s also a Freshman at Xavier, led 3DLT’s submission. The process was extensive including interviews with 26 Xavier MBA students, 11 executives from X-Lab’s Advisory Board, and two representatives of Cintrifuse. Winners were selected by the MBA students.

According to Brandon, “X-LAB (Xavier Launch-a-Business) gives us the opportunity to gain valuable information from top professors at Xavier University that can make our business more successful. The program requires a lot of work but also helps us improve 3DLT’s business model. Now will be able to utilize the experience of our team of Xavier University MBA’s to refine it further.”

This isn’t the first accolade for young 3DLT. In July, 2012, 3DLT was named the Second Place Finisher at Startup Weekend Cincinnati. The firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Pablo Arellano Jr., envisioned the concept for 3DLT and initially presented it at the competition. According to Pablo, “3DLT is using its resources to surround itself with really smart people. It’s a formula that’s been successful for a lot of other great companies.”
