“Our organization works hard to maintain the trust and respect of our supporters who, in turn, entrust us to carry out the important work of helping Israel’s at-risk children. Our investors deserve accountability and I am pleased that Friends of Yemin Orde is consistently recognized for providing it,” said Karen Sallerson, Executive Director, Friends of Yemin Orde. “We are honored by this achievement and it is with great pride that we are recognized for our wise stewardship of donor funds and excellent business practices.” Yemin Orde Youth Village is located in Mt. Carmel, Israel – south of Haifa. In December 2010, one of the worst wildfires in Israel’s history tore through Yemin Orde, destroying 40 percent of the Village; children and staff were evacuated and there were no injuries. Today, a two-year construction project is underway to rebuild and replace buildings and homes damaged or destroyed in the fire. Funding for the rebuilding project comes from the Israeli government, insurance reimbursements and donations from individuals, foundations and groups from around the world.
