#GETPETSAVINGS Twitter Party a Social Media Success!

Feb. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY— The #GetPetSavings Twitter Party hosted by Petrendologist Charlotte Reed on February 5, 2013, was a social media hit with double the amount of participants as last month’s online event! From 7 to 8PM (EST), Reed and #GetPetSavings partygoers tweeted up a storm. So many tweets were exchanged that many participants found themselves in Twitter Jail.  

Dog and cat owners from across the globe, including South America and Europe, asked a variety of questions about how to sniff out pet deals, discounts and savings. #GetPetSavings participants were especially concerned about reducing the cost of food and litter and how to manage veterinary care and pet meds expenses without causing discomfort to their four-legged family members

“People will be surprised at the amount of pet savings that are available if you look for them and that was the point of Charlotte Reed’s #GetPetSavings Twitter Party,” said AAA Public Relations Manager Heather Hunter. “When making purchases AAA members should remember that the same card they use for emergency roadside assistance can provide savings on pet friendly hotels, prescriptions for family pets able to be filled at a traditional pharmacy and other pet products.”

During the #GetPetSavings event pet owners got together to enjoy themselves, to meet new friends, to learn from others and to interact with sponsor brands. According to Petrendologist, Charlotte Reed, “Twitter parties are great way to humanize the sponsor brands. The online interaction personalizes the Companies and gives them a voice. As a result, the customer or end-user of a product feels as if the brand cares about them and their pets.”

The #GetPetSavings was also successful thanks to some great prizes from AAA, APAW, Hartz, Pet Food Direct, World’s Best Cat Litter and FURminator.
