She practices in State and Federal Courts in a wide variety of civil matters. In 2011 she was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. Her practice currently includes personal injury, workers' compensation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, divorce mediation and arbitration. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, Bower received her Juris Doctor Degree from Hofstra University School of Law where she was an Articles Editor for the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. She began her legal career in the Manhattan office of Thurm & Heller. In 1990, she joined her current firm and was named partner in 1994. She has been managing the Southbury branch of the firm since 1998. Currently, Bower serves as a Special Master in the United States District Court, and as an Attorney Trial Referee Arbitrator and Fact Finder at the Superior Court. Attorney Bower serves on a number of local boards including the Stewardship Board of the Audubon Center at Bent of the River in Southbury; the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Waterbury Regional Chamber; and the Board of Directors of Region 15’s Perpetual Fund. She is a member of the Connecticut Community Foundation’s Southbury Community Trust Fund Committee and the Exploratory Committee for the Southbury Community Center. She is a past president of the Southbury Business Association and a former member of the Tribury Rotary Club. For the past three years she has chaired the annual Audubon Center Bent Festival. She was also the business committee liaison for the Southbury Public Library 2004 Fund Committee.
