Jersey Express to Host Seven City Knights of Virginia, February 23rd

Feb. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Hackettstown, N.J. (Tuesday, February 19, 2013) – The Jersey Express will host the Seven City Knights of Virginia, on Saturday, February 23rd @ 6pm, at Centenary College, 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.  This will be the only game between these two teams, and a true test for the Express, as the Knights play in the Central Division, and defeated the Express, the only other time the teams have met in Virginia.

The Express are coming off there 2nd loss of the season, 106-98, both to division rival Staten Island Vipers.  Devon Young again paced the Express in scoring with 21pts, with Almin Hodzic adding another double-double, with 17pts & 10rbds.  ‘I don’t think we did the things that made us successful in the past.  We didn’t box out and we missed our defensive assignments.  With that, we have to make shots; stated Head Coach Ray Ortiz.

The Express are led by Devon Young’s 20ppg, and Ja’Shon Mixon’s 18, followed by Almin Hodzic 13pts & 10rbds per game.  With seven players averaging double digit points, and three players averaging over nine rebounds, the Express are averaging 117ppg.
