The Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store, which opened just over six months ago in August 2012, has announced that they will join Pittsboro First Sunday by opening for brunch.A special Brunch Menu including 6 new offerings will be available along with all the meal choices on the regular lunch menu. The First Sunday in March, March 3, 2013, will be the first Sunday that the Pittsboro Roadhouse will be open. Their hours are 10:30 - 3:00. At present they will only be open Sunday for Pittsboro First Sundays. "Since we opened, we've been asked about offering Sunday Brunches," said Pittsboro Roadhouse owner, Greg Lewis. "Customers and downtown business owners have encouraged us to open for First Sunday. So we're pleased to be at a point where we can." Pittsboro First Sunday closes for several of the winter months every year, and is starting the new 2013 season on Sunday March 3. The Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store opened in the space that was known as The General Store Cafe for over a decade, and is located in the same spacious building to the West of Courthouse Circle in downtown Pittsboro, Greg Lewis, the new owner, and his wife Maria Parker Lewis brought a fresh look to the new restaurant, which includes paintings by Siler City based artist Ricky Lindley.
