Pittsboro Roadhouse Hosts Heirloom Tomato Dinner August 20, 2013

PITTSBORO, N.C. - Aug. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Chatham County, NC - On August 20, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. the locally owned family restaurant, Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store, hosts a specialty dinner with all locally grown heirloom tomatoes from Deep Chatham Gardens.

Deep Chatham Gardens' Billy Mason, a gentleman farmer, raises a number of different heirloom tomatoes including some grown from Chinese seed ordered from China. Using organic methods, Deep Chatham Gardens (http://deepchathamgardens.com/heirloomtomatoesforsale/) provides fresh produce to several local restaurants, including Angelina's Kitchen and the Pittsboro Roadhouse.

Chef David Carlin of the Roadhouse (http://pittsbororoadhouse.com/deep-chatham-gardens-heirloom-tomato-jubilee-dinner-august-20-2013/) worked with Bill Mason to develop the menu based on the qualities and flavors of the different tomatoes. Billy Mason will be available to answer questions.
