New Hollywood to Avenge Tybee Diskin

LOS ANGELES - March 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Earlier this week, 8 Sided Films founder Tennyson E. Stead launched a fan-driven petition addressed to Marvel Studios, requesting that filmmakers Edgar Wright and Joss Whedon audition New Hollywood star Tybee Diskin for the role of Janet Van Dyne, AKA The Wasp, in the Ant-Man feature film and subsequent  Avengers movies.  “Tybee Diskin has keen listening skills, she has exquisite cool under pressure, and she has a loose, cocky wit”, explains Stead.  “That’s the Wasp!  Janet Van Dyne wins fights by unraveling them, instead of by trying to match her opponents blow-by-blow. ”  Diskin herself observes that “Janet and I have a lot in common: we're both problem-solvers, idealists, and a bit ridiculous.”

Recently, Stead cast Diskin as leading lady Dr. Chelsea Barrington in the upcoming 8 Sided Films science-fiction heist movie Quantum Theory.  Quantum Theory is the story of Chelsea and Roe, two brilliant, snarky women of science, who develop a prototype with the power to alter reality... until it’s snatched from under them by LDI, a ruthless and powerful defense contractor.  With reality itself under the control of a corporate military superpower, can Chelsea and Roe take back their technology and their world?  “Many of the qualities that make Tybee the perfect actor to lead Quantum Theory’s cast also make her an ideal social compass for characters like Hank Pym, Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers. Who else has the grace and moxie to break up a fight between Thor and the Hulk?”  Stead is currently writing, directing, and producing Quantum Theory.
