Follow on Google News | Kansas City Landscaping Company Benefits From Drought While Gearing Up For SpringThe combination of last year’s drought and the arrival of Spring has significantly bolstered the Kansas City Landscaping industry.
By: Garden Gate Landscaping With the long awaited advent of rain and green consumers seem to be excited to pick up the landscaping projects that they had to put off last year due to the drought. Michael Candillo, owner of Garden Gate Landscaping, comments on their recent Spring activity, “We’re certainly getting a lot of bids for Kansas City landscaping and lining up a lot of jobs. Last summer a lot of Kansas City residents wanted to put their landscaping projects on the back burner until we started to see more rainfall. But, now that Spring is here and we’re already seeing a healthy amount of rain business has really picked up. We’re very excited.” Another contributor to this Kansas City landscaping company’s surge in business is a candidate you might not expect - last year’s drought. “The drought last year certainly affected the Kansas City landscaping industry in a negative way, “ Candillo says, “But, the silver lining in it for Garden Gate Landscaping is that it’s actually created a high demand for clean up projects that are a direct result of the drought itself. For example, many trees have died and branches have become weak or brittle because of little rainfall. Then, when the big blizzards hit last month a lot of them came down. So, we’ve had our work cut out for us.” Candillo also says that his Kansas City landscaping business has also been doing some serious Spring mulching. Now is the usual time for mulching as it is, but the drought seems to have been a fresh reminder for many consumers that mulching is a great way to use water efficiently and to preserve landscaping. With business picking up so fast for Garden Gate Landscaping it appears there is a silver lining for Kansas City landscaping businesses willing to stick it out through tough times. For Candillo and his crew that silver lining seems to be paying off already. With Spring only just arriving and Candillo’s ever growing crew he’s confident that this year could easily be a record breaking year of revenue.
