Pompano Beach Celebrates Grand Re-Opening of East Village & the Beach

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - March 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Join the Pompano Beach CRA in celebrating the official Grand Re-Opening of the East Village and Beach areas in the East CRA district on Friday, April 5th from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The event is free and includes fireworks, live music, entertainment, a ribbon cutting, art displays and more.

Musicians and vendors will line the newly constructed promenade alongPompano Beach Boulevard starting at 5:00 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening. The night will include an official ribbon  cutting for the East Village at 6:30 p.m. in the Harbor Village Shoppes located at 2701 East Atlantic Boulevard, followed by the official launch of the interactive fountain at 7:30 p.m. on the beach  promenade located at 10 Pompano Beach Boulevard. A fireworks presentation will launch from the pier at 8:30 p.m. Additional activities along East Atlantic Boulevard and Pompano Beach Boulevard will include ArtHall artist gallery, interactive art projects, kids fun zone activities, vendors, food trucks and
live music featuring The Weedline Band on the main stage from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.

The East Village and Beach redevelopment project, now complete, includes improvements to the Harbor Village Shoppes’ façades including a new arcade and parking lot, Atlantic Boulevard Streetscape, East Atlantic Boulevard streetscape, various building façade improvement projects along
Atlantic Boulevard, and the new pedestrian friendly beach promenade along Pompano Beach Boulevard. The total cost for the entire redevelopment project in the East CRA was over $15 million and included both public and private investment.
