GreerWalker Audit Senior Manager Beth Allen Among Charlotte Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - April 4, 2013 - PRLog -- (Charlotte, N.C.) -- GreerWalker audit senior manager Beth Allen was recently honored as one of the Charlotte Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” for 2013. This annual honor recognizes 40 individuals under the age of 40 who are making major strides in their careers and having a positive impact on their communities.

However, she is also deeply involved in the community, supporting the causes important to her.”

Allen was recognized at a cocktail reception and awards presentation at the McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square on March 28. The evening marked the 20th consecutive year of the award, as honorees celebrated their accomplishments in guiding the Charlotte area’s development as a major business center.

Allen joined GreerWalker in 2003 after earning her B.S. in accounting in 2002 and master’s in accounting in 2003 at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As audit senior manager, she focuses on clients in various service industries, including those with international operations. She is also a member of the leadership team of GreerWalker’s Manufacturing/Distribution and Not-For-Profit practice areas. Allen recently led an initiative to grow a practice area that allowed clients to implement control testing for their customers.

A Charlotte native with a deep sense of community, Allen serves on the board of directors of the Hospitality House of Charlotte and is treasurer and chairperson of the finance committee for Children and Family Services Center. In addition, she serves on the founding board of directors of the North Carolina Charter Educational Foundation, which is responsible for building two charter schools in Iredell and Cabarrus counties. Allen is also active in a financial role at her church and has organized food drives for Loaves & Fishes.
