Landmark Home Warranty Offers Customers A/C Tune-ups

Landmark customers get a comprehensive pre-season A/C tune-up for the cost of a service call. Other add-ons include re-key service, pest control, and pre-season heater tune-ups.

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah - April 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Every year between March 1 and April 30, Landmark Home Warranty customers are eligible for a comprehensive A/C tune-up in preparation for the summer months. This is an added value to all Landmark Home Warranty coverage plans.

Energy Star, which is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, was created to help consumers make smarter decisions about their home and business energy needs.

Energy Star recommends that homes have an annual pre-season cooling and heater check-up by a contractor (Energy Star article (http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=heat_cool.pr_maintenance)).

Landmark Home Warranty is proud to offer our customers an annual pre-season A/C and heater tune-up for the cost of a service call. This tune-up service will help keep your units running strong and efficient throughout the year. According to Energy Star, unchecked units can reduce efficiency by up to 15 percent, and decrease the units' life by months or years.

The A/C tune-up is performed by one of Landmark's HVAC contractor partners. The service includes:

• Clean condenser coils
• Clean and tighten electrical connections
• Clean or replace filters (owner supplied)
• Check refrigerant levels
• Check and calibrate thermostat
• Perform amp draw on condenser motor, evaporator motor, and compressor

Customers in Utah, Texas, Idaho, and Arizona are eligible for the A/C tune-up.
