Follow on Google News | StreetPass NYC Hosts it's Two Year Anniversary to Honor Dedicated Nintendo 3DS FansAll Nintendo 3DS Fans are Welcome to Reflect and Celebrate Two Years of StreetPass in New York City on April 14th at Union Square Park, Manhattan from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
By: StreetPass NYC "Now that the group is over two years old, something I'm still in shock about, we are starting a new tradition of every anniversary starting with this one to reward various people in our group who have contributed to the fun times we have had", said Jordan White, Founder and Event Organizer of StreetPass NYC. "This whole journey so far is beyond words. I simply inspired by Joshua Lynsen, the Founder of StreetPass DC and StreetPass Network, that I wanted to meet people to play Street Fighter and pet virtual puppies...I had no idea this would turn into a strait two year phenomenon that would as some have told me changed the New York landscape of video games forever." On April 14th between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, the group will once again for the second time gather Union Square Plaza in New York City (in front of the 1856 House Mounted George Washington Statue) to quote, “Exchange StreetPass Data, play games head to head, take 3D photos and chat about upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Wii U news.” Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/ Meet-Up Page: http://www.meetup.com/ Google+ Page: https://plus.google.com/ Giant AR Cards will be displayed and handed out near the end of the gathering to people who attend. Select StreetPass NYC Admins and group members will be given special gold medallions to be honored for their selfless achievements through the two year legacy of the organization. They will also be interviewed for StreetPass NYC's YouTube Channel. In the case of rain or any problems with the location, StreetPass NYC will meet up at the GameStop (32 E 14th St, New York, NY) right across the street of the original location. StreetPass NYC is a subset of the much larger, global-wide grassroots StreetPass Network of meetings popping up all over the globe from America to Japan and South Africa.
