April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- We strongly encourage associations, rentals, self storage companies, boat slips and every other market we serve to begin the transition to Electronic Presentment of items for better Property Solutions, both with their billing products and other documents that are sent. In the beginning there is some hesitation due to the unknowns about the service offered, however in the long run, the clients are much better off.

Fortunately for our company, we do not have to spend the time and resources trying to develop a system that handles this Electronic Function, as we would prefer a vendor to maintain and update the service, and for us to utilize the service for a small price on an add needed basis. Once again, we are looking out for our clients best interest in finding ways to keep our pricing model under control for them. We do not purchase any sophisticated software that handles this function driving up our overhead, we use a 3rd party vendor who provides the service as we direct them.

Currently the way the program works, everyone in the association or group being billed will get the paper statement the first billing. On the invoice, there is a small message with a client ID specific to each homeowner. It is the homeowners or customers responsibility to sign up for the e-statement function by going to www.estmt.net These are innovative Property Solutions that do not cost the Assocition extra.

Once they have signed up, from then on the homeowner will receive their billings electronically instead of by paper/mail. As you can imagine if you have a large group of people such as a larger association, if you begin to see half of the association sign up for e-statement, you are eliminating over 60 cents from each statement sent. Multiply that by the association number and then by how many times you bill each year. You are beginning to talk about real savings now.

In tomorrow's blog we will discuss how to ensure the electronic statements are received by the homeowner, and what happens if the homeowner does not open the e-statement or items sent.
