Lake Norman Orchestra: Concerto La Primavera!

MOORESVILLE, N.C. - April 17, 2013 - PRLog -- The Lake Norman Orchestra (LKNO), conducted by Eduardo Cedeño, will present its spring concert on Saturday, April 20 at 7:00 PM.  

This family-friendly event will be held at the Roland R. Morgan Auditorium at Mooresville High School located at 659 East Center Avenue in Mooresville, NC.   We have special guests you won’t want to miss!  

Appearing with the orchestra will be special guests from Community School of Davidson – Pianist, Chase Loomer, CSD Faculty and Student Dancers  and the Belle Voix Choir.   We’ve thrown a little spice into the selections for spring with everything from Pergolesi to Gershwin to Latin rhythms!   Rumor has it there will be door and raffle prizes.  So, join the Lake Norman Orchestra and friends and let us jump-start the season!

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students (6-18); free for children under six.  Tickets are available at the door, or for making group reservations please email lknorchestra@gmail.com

The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States, Europe, and South America. Last summer, he led members of the Lake Norman Orchestra on a concert tour in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, Orchestra Director at Gaston School of the Arts in Gastonia, and Strings Instructor and Chorus/Band Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, NC.  www.eduardocedeno.net
