By: Motor Werks Infiniti of Barrington Vettel is the youngest Formula One World Champion ever, and his influence is already being felt in Infiniti’s vehicles. He was involved in developing the Q50, which he tested at both Nurburgring and the Circuit de Catalunya. His impressive driving resume made him a natural fit for the position, and Infiniti’s engineers sought him out specifically for his “world-class chassis dynamics, performance and handling feedback.” With his knowledge, he’s a natural fit for the position. While it’s likely that, for now, Vettel’s input will be restricted to the Chassis tuning of Infiniti vehicles, it’s possible that he could have some input about the vehicles’ hardware at some point in the future. He did, after all, previously collaborate with Infiniti on a special edition of the FX50, which featured a 414-hp 5.0L V8 engine and a new intake and exhaust system to differentiate it from the standard model, and helping it achieve a top speed of 186 mph.
