April 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Power2Move is excited to introduce a new series of interviews focusing on women in the fluid power industry.  While there are many examples of women making their mark in fluid power companies, representing all aspects of the hydraulic and pneumatic supply chain, there is still a need to increase the number of women in the ranks across the greater manufacturing marketplace.

Throughout the coming months, readers will be introduced to successful women at all leadership levels and in a diverse mix of fluid power companies.   As you read the interviews highlighting women in the fluid power industry, keep in mind that women represent the largest pool of untapped talent in manufacturing and think about how you can make an impact.

Our first interview is with Judy Wojanis, president of Wojanis Supply Company, Inc.

Judy, how did find yourself in the role of President?

In 2004 I was working with my husband Jim–President and Founder of Wojanis Supply. During that time I was diagnosed with breast cancer and we thought that I might not make it.  Jim began the process of selling the business to spend time with me.  Understandably our employees were unsure of what would happen to the company.  Some of our key personnel decided to leave and form their own business.

Then unexpectedly my husband died from a heart attack. Upon returning to work after the funeral I actually accepted some of our key personnel’s resignations.

I was left with a core of dedicated workers that I knew in my heart I could not let down…
