Raylynn's Dark Secret a book about Child Abuse, Incest, and how Raylynn Healed her Shattered Soul

Many of us go through traumatic experiences at some point in our lives that cause us a wound that needs healing. Emotional wounds can cause great havoc in one’s own life, and it can be difficult to come to a place where we are open to healing. Kay Houston believes that healing is the repair of a shattered soul. It is taking the time to pick up all of the shattered pieces and put them back together making the soul whole once again.

She went through several traumatic experiences in her life, and she had to learn how to cope with it and heal. She is left with her scars but over time she is learning to cope with PTSD and is hopeful to someday overcome it. Raylynn’s Dark Secret is intended to encourage survivors to tell their story and bring it into the light and out of the dark recesses of memory. Telling Her story was similar to cleaning out an infected wound allowing her to heal over time. As one can see this book is about healing and overcoming the hardship of trauma.

Synopsis

Raylynn, a mature woman finds she is unable to go on carrying the weight of her family secret and the tragic events of her life. Her father sexually abused her while her mother tormented her with physical and verbal abuse. She failed to protect her as a child, and this failure lead Raylynn down a life path to be victimized repeatedly by others who seen her weakness; her inability to protect herself.

This weakness made her the perfect target to become the perpetual victim leaving her life full of dismal darkness. One day she began on a new path and her luck began to change. Fate brought her to meet a kind and compassionate minister who lead her to a counselor for the very first time to help her sort out the demons in the darkness of her life.  

This is the story of her journey through life that led her to the path of healing where she found true love in a place she would never have imagined.
