McCarthy Building Companies Promotes Bobby Campbell to Director of Preconstruction in Houston

April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (http://www.mccarthy.com) recently promoted Bobby Campbell to director of preconstruction for the builder’s Houston office. Campbell’s responsibilities will include coordinating preconstruction services and cost estimates for design/build, competitive sealed proposals and negotiated projects. He will also be coordinating all associated budgets and estimates prepared for all of McCarthy’s Houston-area clients.

Campbell has been with McCarthy for nearly three years and has more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry. In addition to his role as director of preconstruction, Campbell serves as McCarthy’s chief estimator in Houston, applying his extensive background in all estimating activities to both roles. Currently, he is leading the McCarthy preconstruction and estimating teams on the firm’s University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Pavilion and the UTMB Victory Lakes Specialty Care Center projects.

Actively involved in the construction industry, Campbell is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional status. Additionally, he holds certification from Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 Hour. Campbell earned his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. He currently lives in the Bellaire neighborhood of Houston.
