Speaker & Author Deborah L. Parker Presents at Organizational Development Conference on Courage

Finding Victory and Valor Everyday - Being Courageous on Your Journey is what Deborah encouraged fellow training/organizational development practictioners to do at the Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network's Annual Conference on April 26

WASHINGTON - April 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Where do we learn to be courageous? At George Mason University's Arlington Campus, Founder's Hall, Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network's (CBODN) Annual Conference was the venue for Deborah to spark this discussion.  From our ancestors or fore parents, superheroes, business owners, first responders, military servicemembers to those who lead organizational initiatives and the lion in the Wizard of Oz, there are many lessons to be gleaned on how to be brave and face what tests your mettle.  Deborah, also an Army veteran and  cancer survivor shared her personal stories of pressing on through difficult times.

Also she noted how during organizational change, resistance is a factor that must be dealt with. Often those who work in the people profession are called on to be courageous in making decisions and even confronting senior leadership in the importance of new policies.  Deborah provided participants in her session the space to think about their past successes and claim victory over their acts of  bravery!

Through her company, The DPJ Training Group, Deborah has been providing motivational speaking, leadership, diversity and personal development learning programs for private and public sector clients for over 15 years.
