By: Look What I Can Do! Dog Training Owners of new puppies will benefit from a 5 Week Puppy Primer Class of basic training and instruction. Class is held weekly for puppies aged 3-6 months; next session begins Saturday May 25th at eleven AM. The first ninety minute class includes a power point presentation on dog body language, necessary education for any dog owner. The remaining four classes are all one hour long. Instruction is semi-private, with a maximum of four dogs per class. The fee for class is $150. Pre-registration is required for these classes. Puppies will learn basic skills: attention, sit, down, settle, come when called and walk on leash. House training, crate training, chewing and other behavior related issues are also part of the curricula. Only “force free” positive training methods are taught, enhancing the dog-human relationship and producing dogs that are happy to work. Poorly trained dogs are a leading reason why so many are surrendered to pounds and shelters. Professionally licensed Leslie Clifton is a Pat Miller Certified Trainer, Certified Pet Dog Trainer –Knowledge Assessed, and a charter member of the Pet Professional Guild. As well, Leslie is a student mentor for Animal Behavior College.
